Description

Trails connect the valley's varied environments, running from dense riparian forests along the Tijuana River up to coastal maritime sage scrub atop Spooner's Mesa. Shared by hikers, equestrians, and mountain bikers, path conditions across the network can fluctuate depending on recent weather and maintenance. The river basin also serves as an active stop for wildlife watchers looking to spot roughly 340 native and travelling bird species.
