Tiburon Railroad & Ferry Depot Museum
4.7 (80)museum
The Bay’s last 19th-century rail-ferry depot pairs panoramic water views with a working turn-of-the-century model town.
Description

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the depot sits in Shoreline Park with clear views of Angel Island, San Francisco, and the Golden Gate Bridge. Inside, the ground floor centers on an operating HO-scale model depicting Tiburon as an active railroad town from 1900 to 1910. Upstairs, the Depot House Museum preserves the stationmaster's former living quarters, restored through the memories of the last stationmaster's daughter, with knowledgeable volunteers providing context across the exhibits.
