Three NYU Nights to Find Your Community This Fall

Three NYU gatherings built for meeting people across cohorts, from Washington Square to a downtown bar.

Find your people this fall.

Kimmel Center, welcome mixer and craft table

Brown Sugar Brilliance opens the year with a welcome night for NYU's Black queer community inside the Kimmel Center, folding freshmen, transfers, and upperclassmen into one room of icebreakers, free food, and giveaways. An RSVP through NYU Engage holds your spot, and the night is built for new faces to land somewhere familiar fast.

A floor away, NYU's first-years get a hands-on slime craft table with sweet treats, free snacks, and prize giveaways. It reads as a low-stakes icebreaker, sticky hands and name tags optional.

Downtown, the Analogue bar

Off campus at Analogue, OutClass gathers NYU's LGBTQ+ students and alumni to trade advice ahead of the annual ROMBA conference, and the mixer is as much a networking room as a night out, where bringing a card and a real question pays off. Expect a low-lit bar, a Stern-heavy crowd, and easy introductions.

Before you go

Access differs by event, and the BSB welcome and the slime craft are free and open to enrolled NYU students, with an RSVP for the mixer. The OutClass gathering runs at a bar, and it is a 21 and over room. Confirm timing and any sign-up with each organizer before you head over.
