Three NYU Kickoffs for Founders, Consultants, and Engineers
Three NYU pre-professional kickoffs, from a Stern startup challenge to a consulting group and a Tandon transportation club.
Stern, a startup challenge and a consulting kickoff
The NYU Berkley Center for Entrepreneurship opens its Entrepreneurs Challenge with a kickoff and info session at Stern, walking early stage founders through how the competition backs ventures from resources to mentorship. It lays out the real path from a notes app idea to a submitted entry.
In the same building, the Economic Development Group runs its own kickoff, introducing its ASTRA consulting, research, journalism, and mentorship tracks along with application timelines. Bring questions about which track fits.
MetroTech, the transportation engineers
Over at 6 MetroTech in Brooklyn, NYU Tandon's Institute of Transportation Engineers throws a welcome party with pizza, transportation themed games, and an easy intro to the chapter, and it is the low key way to meet the people who nerd out on how the city actually moves. No prior transit obsession required.
Before you go
These lean pre professional, and the Entrepreneurs Challenge and EDG kickoffs are geared toward students planning to apply or compete. The ITE welcome party is an open, low pressure intro to the chapter. Confirm dates, rooms, and any sign up with each organizer before you head over.
