Three NYC Club Fairs to Find Something to Join
Three easy entry points into NYC campus life, from a Barnard tabling afternoon to a downtown club fair and a Brooklyn game night.
Uptown and downtown, two club fairs
Barnard opens the year by handing Futter Field to its student organizations, and the whole roster tables in one afternoon of sign ups and small talk. It is the fastest way to scan what is out there before the calendar fills.
Downtown at One Pace Plaza, Pace packs its gym with close to one hundred clubs, sororities, and fraternities in a single afternoon, with free merch on the way out. Talk to the organization leaders, not just the sign up sheets.
Brooklyn, the Pratt Student Union
Over in Brooklyn, Pratt keeps its social night simple with phone controlled Jackbox trivia and drawing games in the Student Union, and the pizza is complimentary, which lowers the bar for showing up alone. Play a round, then stay for the group chat that forms after.
Before you go
These are open to enrolled students, and the two fairs are the easiest to walk into without a prior RSVP. The Pratt night runs in the Student Union with limited seating. Check each organizer for room changes and student ID rules before you head over.
