Three NYC Campus Meetups, From Morningside Heights to Brooklyn

Three easy ways into NYC campus life, from uptown tabling to a Brooklyn pizza-and-trivia night.

Meet your people this fall.

Morningside Heights, Futter Field and Grace Dodge

Barnard opens the semester by handing Futter Field to its student organizations, and the whole roster tables in one afternoon of sign-ups and small talk. It is the fastest way to scan what is out there before commitments pile up.

A few blocks north at Teachers College, the School Psychology Club runs a looser welcome back inside Grace Dodge Hall, and the point is cross-cohort, pairing new students with people who already know the program. Snacks, advice, and a low-pressure room.

Brooklyn, the Pratt Student Union

Over in Brooklyn, Pratt keeps its social night simple with phone-controlled Jackbox trivia and drawing games in the Student Union, and the pizza is complimentary, which lowers the bar for showing up alone. Play a round, then stay for the group chat that forms after.

Before you go

Most of these are open to enrolled students, and the Barnard club fair and the Pratt night are the easiest to walk into without a prior RSVP. The Teachers College welcome back leans toward its own program cohorts. Check each organizer for room changes and student ID rules before you head over.
