Description

The shelter anchors artist Ed Levine’s 2003 installation, *Embodying Thoreau: dwelling, sitting, watching*, developed with the Pennypack Environmental Center Advisory Council and the Association for Public Art. Conceived as structures between sculpture and architecture, the project explores humanity's ties to nature across multiple park sites. Beyond the cabin, the work unfolds through three oversized wooden benches and a bird blind with an exterior woven like a nest, scattered as quiet, reflective discoveries through the woods.
