The Vista Room

Set on the fourth floor of Burk Hall, the dining room operates during the academic year under SF State's Department of Hospitality, Tourism and Event Management. Culinary instructor Tim Shaw leads the kitchen while restaurant manager Ryan Smith directs front-of-house service, shaping the contemporary California cooking around responsibly-sourced ingredients and a sustainability ethos. Guests order from a fixed-price menu covering an appetizer, entrée, dessert, and a drink, offering an affordable lunch open to the public.
