The Steel Man

Directed by Joe Brancato and inspired by a true story, this drama follows Jake Gellert as he attempts to step out from the shadow of his father Leo, a Hungarian Jewish Holocaust survivor. While Jake seeks distance, Leo wrestles with the past and a desire to avenge his lost family. The production unfolds on an elevated stage that creates the illusion of peering into a shoebox diorama, paired with spare, blunt dialogue rooted in prolonged human suffering and generational anguish.
