Description
Standing outside the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center at Spirit Plaza, this 1958 civic monument is a recognizable local landmark in downtown Detroit. Sculpted by Marshall Fredericks, the installation places the large metal figure directly across the street from the Joe Louis Fist, making it straightforward to view both outdoor spots together on a walk through the area.
