The Ruth Bancroft Garden & Nursery
4.7 (479)attraction
A landmark 3.5-acre dry garden filled with towering yuccas, rare cacti, and an on-site nursery for unique succulents.
Description

Started in the 1950s as Ruth Bancroft’s private collection, the grounds became the first preserve of The Garden Conservancy in 1994. The living collection gathers drought-tolerant specimens from around the globe, layering agaves, aloes, and mature trees across open paths that also host private weddings and elopements. Right alongside the display beds, the nursery stocks native plants, artisanal pottery, and specialty soils.
