🎶 Soul Sessions Plays The Roots

Soul Sessions brings The Roots tribute to Fringe Bar on Wednesday, October 21, at 8 PM, part of its 2026 series honoring Philadelphia's own. Musical director Luke Carlos O'Reilly leads the band and Jay The Gentleman hosts, and the set recreates the city's neo-soul era for one evening of live music on the waterfront.

Fringe Bar sits under the Ben Franklin Bridge, steps from Cherry Street Pier, and shares its footprint with a theater, which lends the room a touch of local arts energy. The kitchen leans on hearty comfort food in generous portions, including a fiery Nashville hot chicken sandwich, shrimp and grits, and gluten-free options like large salads.

Special events may carry a cover. Thursdays bring an all-night happy hour from 5 PM to 9 PM, Fridays add a happy hour from 5 PM to 7 PM, and the bar holds a 4.4 rating across more than two hundred reviews.
