The drinks are well-crafted and presented with care, and the food runs to bar bites that have drawn their own praise. A dedicated sunset slot, the Hudson Vu experience, runs from 5:15 to 7:15 pm if you want the West Side glowing at dusk. Those who come without a reservation may find the door less welcoming—one group was turned away despite plenty of open space, only gaining entry after mentioning a birthday—so booking ahead is the smoother route.
