Description

Stretching from Stanyan Street to Baker Street, this park strip forms an active transportation corridor connecting Haight-Ashbury and the Western Addition to Golden Gate Park. Broad biking and walking trails run the length of the grounds beneath a canopy of mature eucalyptus, cypress, and pine trees, alongside open lawns, restrooms, and a playground extensively renovated in 2019. Its basketball court was overhauled in 2016 through a community foundation partnership and named for Golden State Warriors great Nate Thurmond.
