The Outsiders (Touring)

Set in 1967 Tulsa, Oklahoma, this four-time Tony Award winner follows Ponyboy Curtis, his best friend Johnny Cade, and their Greaser family of outsiders as they battle affluent rivals, the Socs. Adapted from S.E. Hinton's novel and Francis Ford Coppola's film, the production features a book by Adam Rapp with Justin Levine, music and lyrics by Jamestown Revival and Justin Levine, choreography by Rick Kuperman and Jeff Kuperman, and direction by Danya Taymor. The narrative explores self-discovery and belonging through a dynamic original score as the characters dream of futures in a world that may not accept them.
