Description
This production draws from S.E. Hinton’s text and Francis Ford Coppola’s film, shaped by Danya Taymor’s direction and Rick and Jeff Kuperman's choreography. The staging is intense and visceral, depicting scenes of violence, suicide, and domestic abuse. It also utilizes heavy sensory effects; those sitting within ten feet of the stage can expect to get splashed by water, washable red liquid, and rubber particles. The performance is recommended for ages 10 and up.
