The brand traces its roots to a 1960s Uptown club spearheaded by Big Chief Alfred Doucette before closing in the 1980s. Decades later, building owners on St. Bernard Avenue uncovered the original signage during renovations, sparking a revival that culminated in a summer 2024 reopening under the direction of Bella Blue, Andrew Principe, and JD Solomon. Nearly every night of the week features a variety of entertainment options, including burlesque, drag, comedy, and live music, alongside cocktails and food options, serving alternately as a lively showbar or a chill neighborhood spot.
