Description

The blueprint began in 1928 Oakland, where baker Emil Villa knocked down the wall to the barbecue joint next door, blending homemade baked goods with wood-smoked barbecue. That setup moved to South Main Street in 1958 and has carried on through four separate ownerships. Regulars still lean on the ribs, early morning breakfasts, and quiet outdoor seating that lets meals unfold without being rushed.
