Description

The museum takes an exploratory approach to modern expression. Compared to its neighbor The Broad, which favors instantly recognizable icons, MOCA leans into experimental or abstract works that invite a bit more thought and challenge. Its collection pairs significant pieces from the past century with emerging contemporary voices, framing post-1940 art through a probing lens. Visiting is kept straightforward with free general admission.
