The Menendez and O.J. Cases, Retraced From a Funeral Limo

Three hours in a restored Cadillac Fleetwood through Beverly Hills and Brentwood, where two cases that gripped 1990s LA cross.

Grave Line Tours runs this ride in one of its restored six-door Cadillac Fleetwood funeral limousines, built for eight passengers plus the guide. The route follows the 1989 killings of José and Kitty Menendez and the 1994 killings of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman through West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Westwood and Brentwood.

The booking listing marks every stop as a drive-by except one, a 20-minute coffee break at a Starbucks in Brentwood. The rest of the three hours plays out through the windows. What the operator sells is the overlap: its own booking page promises the "highly bizarre overlap and intersections" between the two families.

As of October 17, 2026, the listing sells a single 10:30 AM departure on Sundays and Mondays at USD 93.08 per rider. Bookings are for adults 18 and over, up to eight on one booking.

Where the Two Families' Stories Cross

The itinerary lists 24 stops. It opens on Sunset Boulevard at the Directors Guild of America theater, which the listing names as the site of José and Kitty Menendez's Hollywood memorial service, and passes a Hertz rental office that it ties to José Menendez's dealings with O.J. Simpson. In between, the list threads the Beverly Center, Rodeo Drive and North Bedford Drive, passes the house at 722 North Elm Drive in Beverly Hills, then crosses into Brentwood for Rockingham Avenue, San Vicente Boulevard and 875 South Bundy Drive. The list closes on the 405, where the 1994 Bronco chase played out on live television.

One rider in September 2025 said the pull was hearing "how the Menendez brothers and OJ are linked other than by geographical proximity."

The Guide Drives and Tells the Story

The guide is also the driver. One rider described a single person handling the wheel while telling the story and playing clips and media bites along the way, and the booking includes access to visual background material on your own smartphone.

Graphic images are optional viewing, but the operator warns that some of the spoken descriptions are violent and graphic. It gives this route the top mark on its own three-knife gore scale, a level it recommends for seasoned true crime enthusiasts, and the listing advises against it for anyone upset by disturbing content. A rider in October 2025 wrote that the guide retold both cases "never being disrespectful to the victims."

Private Homes, Seen From the Street

Several stops are private homes. The listing describes the Elm Drive house as still standing behind its gates, and says the original Rockingham house was demolished and replaced with a new residence. Beverly Hills, where the Elm Drive house sits, bars sightseeing vehicles from picking up or dropping off passengers in residential areas under its municipal code. Beyond the coffee break, the operator says the limo keeps moving and riders get out once or twice for a few breaths, at the guide's discretion; the windows, in its words, are "eerily large" for photos from your seat. Treat every house on this list as a view from the curb, not a place to walk up to.

Three Hours in a Vintage Limo

Plan on three hours with one break. The 20-minute Brentwood stop is the chance to buy coffee or a light snack and use a restroom, and only capped bottled water is allowed inside the limo. The operator runs the air conditioning but notes that 1990s car AC is not what newer cars deliver, with up to nine people aboard, so dress for Southern California weather.

There is no room for luggage or strollers. Guests who use a wheelchair need to be able to transfer into the limo's seats, and the operator asks for 24 hours' notice of any special requirements. Gratuities are not included, and the operator says tipping is optional.

📍 Ovation Hollywood, 6801 Hollywood Blvd. The guide waits on Level 2, beside the Pandora store at the entry to the main courtyard. From the garage, take the elevator to Level 2. On foot from Hollywood Boulevard, climb the wide steps opposite the El Capitan Theatre; from Highland Avenue, take the staircase near the light at Yucca Street. The Hollywood/Highland Metro station is steps away.

Check-in opens 20 minutes before departure and the limo leaves on time; late arrivals cannot join and count as no-shows. Ovation's garage, entered from Highland Avenue or Orange Court, posts USD 7.50 an hour up to USD 25 a day, and Grave Line does not validate, though Ovation lists cheaper validated rates through some of its shops and theaters. The listing refunds in full if you cancel at least 24 hours before departure, and nothing after that. Weather rarely stops the ride; the operator cancels only for official flood warnings.

The ride ends where it began, on Level 2, a short walk from the Walk of Fame.
