The Mayflower Compact in Bronze, Then the Version in Sequins
Provincetown hands you its founding story on a bronze tablet at the foot of the Pilgrim Monument. This walk starts there and spends the next mile talking back to it, in a wig, for adults only.
Bas Relief Park sits at 106 Bradford Street, in the shade of the Pilgrim Monument. The bronze panel there shows the signing of the Mayflower Compact, and it is about as official as Provincetown's founding story gets.
That is where the tour meets.
Viator's listing still carries the handover in plain language: formerly the Anne Hutchinson Tour of Provincetown, with Lucinda Lipol having taken over the talking points. Hutchinson was the preacher whose 1637 trial ended with her banishment from Massachusetts. The Provincetown Independent, profiling the tour in 2021 while it still ran under her name, reported that the colony's governor had called her an American Jezebel.
The nerve stayed. The wardrobe changed.

Forty-five to sixty minutes, about a mile, USD 35 a person. Confirmation is instant and the ticket arrives on your phone.

The premise is a contrast. Provincetown presents its founding on a monument and a bronze tablet, and the tour spends the next mile putting that presentation under a brighter light, in costume, as comedy.
Viator's description is blunt about the register: her tongue is so sharp she cannot close her mouth, and she knows each and every fact old or new. The only thing the listing says is included is laughter. Nothing else appears on the inclusions list. You are buying an hour of talk.
When the Provincetown Independent walked the tour in 2021, it reported the guide summing up the method in a single line: I really love historical accuracy, as you can tell from all the sequins.
One Mile, Ending Where the Shops Are

Routes vary. The operator's own description says tours start in the center of town at Bas Relief Park and run about an hour and about a mile. The booking calendar puts the window at forty-five to sixty minutes. Viator's logistics note is simpler still: Lucinda begins the tour in a park at the center of town, and the tour ends in the commercial district.
That ending matters for planning. You finish among the shops and restaurants, so the walk leaves you where the evening is.
Twenty people maximum on each tour, by the operator's own count. One booking takes up to fifteen travelers, so a larger group splits across two reservations. Guiding is in English.
Twenty-One and Over, and the Floor Is Hard
The age limit is the part worth reading twice, because the operator states it two ways.
The one-line version on the listing calls the tour adults only and suggests twenty-one and up. The operator's own description is not phrased as a suggestion: due to content, this is a tour for people twenty-one years of age and older, no exceptions, IDs required. The booking form agrees with the stricter reading, since the only fare on sale is an adult ticket whose age band starts at twenty-one. Treat it as a hard floor and bring photo ID.
Accessibility takes the same second read, because the listing does not agree with itself. It ticks wheelchair accessible, it ticks transportation is wheelchair accessible, and it ticks suitable for all physical fitness levels. The one line it does not carry is the one about areas and surfaces being wheelchair accessible, and on a walking tour the surfaces are the whole question. A traveler in October 2024 described the ground as short stretches of cobblestone and gravel, so plan for cobblestone rather than for the tick. Service animals are allowed. The operator's own description says nothing about access either, so if a wheelchair or a walking difficulty is in the picture, quote product code 188680P2 to the booking help line before you pay.
Booking Runs Late, Refunds Do Not
Two timing rules pull in opposite directions, and both are worth knowing before you plan the day.
Booking stays open right up to the departure time, and confirmation is instant, so a late decision is still one you can act on. Cancelling inside twenty-four hours returns nothing, while cancelling earlier returns the full fare.
The ticket is mobile and one per booking, and the guide confirms your purchase at the park. Weather and thin numbers can each cancel a departure from the operator's side.
Get there a few minutes early. The park is small, and the bronze panel rewards a quiet read before someone takes it apart for you. The walk ends among the shops on the commercial end of town, roughly an hour after it starts, which leaves the rest of the day open in a place that is good at both afternoons and evenings.
