Description

Opened by Patrick Henry Carley in 1868, this is one of NYC's oldest surviving pubs. Beyond the front bar, the spacious interior includes a back room and traditional dining tables that draw a popular lunch crowd. The draught beer list is modest, but the bar serves well-priced cocktails alongside plates of shepherd's pie and fries with garlic mayo. The historic interior and a relaxed, traditional pace keep the space feeling firmly rooted in another era.
