Golden Gate Bridge to Pier 39 by Private Car
Three hours with a driver-guide, collected where you stay, with an hour on your own at the wharf.
This is a private car with a driver who also does the guiding, booked for three hours and priced by the vehicle. The standard route crosses the Golden Gate Bridge, rolls down Lombard Street, stops at Coit Tower and leaves you at Pier 39 for about an hour, with Union Square, the Embarcadero and Chinatown seen from the car.
The route is a starting point: the listing says the tour can be customized to the places you want, and the operator offers suggestions based on your tastes.
Pickup is wherever you are staying inside San Francisco city limits. The listing makes clear that it does not collect from San Francisco International Airport, which sits outside the city.

Two options sit behind the card: up to three travelers, or a group of up to six, each priced per vehicle. Both run three hours from 8:00 AM, 12:00 PM or 4:00 PM, with guiding in English or Portuguese. Tips are extra.

The listing gives each stop a time. The Golden Gate Bridge gets a drive across and about fifteen minutes at Vista Point for photos. Lombard Street is a drive down the curves, with a stop at the bottom of about ten minutes if the driver can make one. Coit Tower, the 210-foot tower on Telegraph Hill, gets about fifteen minutes.
The elevator to the top of Coit Tower is a separate fee, paid at the tower. The Recreation and Park Department lists it at $11 for a visiting adult, less for city residents, and warns that the nearly 90-year-old elevator is sometimes out of service, which can mean 13 flights of steps to the viewing level. The tower closes on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day. From November through March it closes at 5:00 PM and sells tickets until 4:00 PM, the hour the last departure starts.
The longest block is Fisherman's Wharf: the driver drops you at Pier 39 and picks you up roughly an hour later.
That hour is yours for clam chowder in a sourdough bowl, the sea lions, or a walk to Ghirardelli Square. Union Square and the Embarcadero are seen from the car, and Chinatown is a drive-through unless you ask to stop.
The Route Bends Toward What You Ask For

Travelers' accounts show how far the customizing goes. People wrote about the view from Twin Peaks, the Palace of Fine Arts, the Presidio and the National Cemetery, none of which appear in the listing's itinerary. A group of six adults asked for a lunch break and got one.
The clock stays at three hours, so every stop you add has to fit inside them.
The booking form has a special requirements box. Put the places that matter most to you there when you book, so the driver can plan the order.
Six Seats Means Someone Rides in the Back Row
The listing promises an air-conditioned private vehicle and does not name a model. Travelers have described a luxury SUV, an Escalade and a van. A group of six adults wrote in 2026 that the two rear seats would probably be uncomfortable for anyone six feet or taller, with less of a window view than the middle row.
A party of five or six should settle before pickup who takes the rear seats.
Another traveler suggested asking for a minivan or a car with plenty of windows, since sitting in the back makes it hard to see. The listing does not recommend the tour for travelers with spinal injuries. Service animals are allowed.
Name the Pickup, Then Call the Operator
The booking form asks for your pickup location and how you are arriving, and it has fields for a cruise ship's name and disembarkation time.
Once the booking is confirmed, call the operator to go over the pickup place and time. It says its direct line is available during regular business hours.
Travelers in 2023 and 2024 wrote about messages that went unanswered after booking, a driver sent to a different hotel, and a booking logged under the wrong date. One 2024 traveler who called several times reached someone only on the day of the tour, so start a few days ahead.
Cancel at least 24 hours ahead for a full refund. One driver's own advice, passed on in a 2026 review: go early in the day and skip Sunday, when traffic is lighter and there is more room to stop and look around.
