The Crooked Knife

Occupying the former Waterfront Alehouse space, this neighborhood spot offers a no-bells-and-whistles experience with low-key prices. The menu includes a mix of hits and misses: the burgers are juicy and the fish and chips get positive nods, but the chicken pot pie has drawn complaints for bland, unevenly sliced meat, and the fries are underwhelming. For lighter fare, there is a quinoa salad with orange honey dressing to pair with a pint of Guinness.
