The Chuckwagon Restaurant
4.3 (636)restaurant
A western-themed neighborhood diner dishing out hearty breakfasts and homestyle comfort food with vintage charm.
Description

First opened more than 50 years ago at Sunset Drive and 117th Avenue, the diner relocated in the mid-1960s to join The Dade Western Center alongside a feed store and a general shop. Back then, customers arrived on horseback to grab a bite; today, the restaurant stands as the sole surviving piece of that complex. Inside, the wood-paneled room pairs its throwback Western styling with everyday morning plates and a freshly squeezed orange juice machine, drawing a steady crowd that quickly fills the seats during peak breakfast hours.
