Description
Long before adopting its current name around 1939, the establishment opened at the corner of Miller and Montford as The Brown Jug. It closed during Prohibition in 1921 and reopened under the same banner in 1933, eventually settling into its role as a neighborhood watering hole that operates as a dive bar without the usual stigma.
