Description

General Thaddeus Kosciuszko resided in this Philadelphia boarding house during his final visit to the United States in 1797–1798. The well-preserved historic site focuses on the period when he was planning his return to fight for Polish independence. Managed by the National Park Service, the space offers a focused look into the life of an ardent defender of liberty, though visitors frequently note its especially small size.
