Description

The preserve protects the wooded portion of one of Dallas County's earliest farms, opening out across scenic timber, open meadows, and Tenmile Creek. Established in 1985 and expanded through land gifts from the Gossett and Moreland families, the layout keeps to a quiet pace, dotting the pathways with benches and picnic tables. That noted green ash tree also carries official credentials, recognized on the Texas Big Tree Registry.
