Temecula's Ghost Pub Crawl Starts at an 1891 Hotel
A costumed guide walks Old Town Temecula with ghost stories, from a winery inside the 1891 Hotel Temecula to two bar stops.
Nightly Spirits runs this ghost walk through Old Town Temecula, between Main Street and Old Town Front Street. A guide dressed as a Saloon Madame or a Western Sheriff leads the group past the town's old hotels and storefronts, tells the ghost stories and frontier history tied to them, and stops at two bars along the way for a drink.
The listing sells it on Fridays at 7:30 PM, Saturdays at 4:00 and 7:30 PM, and Sundays at 4:00 PM, plus Thursdays at 7:00 PM through November 5. Plan on two to two and a half hours. The listing says 2.5, and the operator's FAQ puts its pub crawls at 2 to 2.5 hours and roughly a mile.

One booking covers up to four travelers, and the listing caps a shared group at ten. Every guest has to be 21 or older with a valid ID. The ticket pays for the guide and the stories. Drinks and the guide's tip are paid for separately.
Haunted Temecula Booze and Boos Ghost Walking TourAbout 2.5 hours on foot through Old Town Temecula with a costumed guide. Every guest must be 21+ with valid ID; drinks are not included.www.viator.comA Winery Inside the Welty Family's Hotel

The tour meets at Big Nose Winery, a family-run tasting room at 42100 Main Street. The winery's own site says it sits inside the historic Hotel Temecula, and the listing calls it the operator's "favorite haunted winery." The guide waits on the front porch, and the group stays at the start for about 15 to 20 minutes.
The building is the second hotel R.J. and Mary Jane Welty built on this lot. The City of Temecula's landmark page says the first one burned in 1891 and the present building went up the same year, and that the Welty family ran the two hotels for more than 30 years. Local historian Horace Parker bought it in 1960. Today it rents rooms again, and its site sends guests to the Emigrant Office for a photo. The listing promises the story of who haunts it.
On the Friday, Saturday and Sunday departures, the tasting room is open during that wait: it pours until 8 PM on Fridays and Saturdays and until 6 PM on Sundays. Its posted hours end at 6 PM Monday through Thursday, an hour before the Thursday 7:00 PM starts.
Two Drink Stops and the Palomar Inn

The listing walks past three more buildings with stories. Swing Inn Cafe says it has been serving Temecula since 1927. At the Old Town Temecula Community Theater, the listing says the spirits are "still taking center stage." The Palomar Inn is the one it calls the most haunted building in Temecula. The inn's own site dates it to 1927, names one of its themed guest rooms The Haunted Room after its "enduring ghost stories," and says the first pilot of the TV series The Invaders was filmed there and around Old Town in March 1966.
Two stops are for sitting down with a drink, about 20 minutes each by the listing: Stone Church Brewing on Old Town Front Street and Texas Lil's Mesquite Grill. The listing invites guests to stay at Lil's for karaoke afterward. Lil's own site runs karaoke on Fridays and Saturdays only, from 7:30 to 11:30 PM, 21 and up with no cover.
The listing ends the walk at Coin-Op Game Room, at 28588 Old Town Front Street.
Everyone Needs ID, Drinking or Not
Every guest has to be 21 or older with a valid ID. The operator's FAQ says the rule covers guests who will not drink too: the bars are 21+. The same FAQ says many bars check at the door and may refuse entry without one, and that bartenders decide whether to serve you.
Drinks are not part of the ticket. Nobody has to buy one, and the operator says most of its bars offer specials for the tour. The guide's tip is not included either.
The 4:00 PM Walks Start Before Sunset
The Saturday and Sunday 4:00 PM departures start before sunset on every date the listing sells. From November to early March, sunset in Temecula falls between about 4:40 and 5:50 PM, partway through the walk. The 7:00 and 7:30 PM starts are after sunset all season. Reviews from 2024 advise bringing an extra layer for the cool evening.
Past groups mostly write about the guide. One traveler in 2025 called it the "Best Bar Crawl Ever" and said the guide made sure the group had a spot at every bar. A 2024 review calls it more of a pub crawl than the historical tour the writer expected, 2024 reviews mention there was no time to order food at the drink stops, and a February 2025 traveler said the group stood outside in one spot for about half an hour of stories.
The listing asks for at least a moderate level of fitness. Neither the listing nor the operator's FAQ says anything about step-free access.
📍 Big Nose Winery, 42100 Main Street, Suite D, inside the Hotel Temecula. Arrive about 15 minutes early to check in. The guide waits five minutes past the start, then keeps the group at the winery for about 15 to 20 minutes. If you are later than that, the listing says to call the operator, who will try to catch you up. For parking, it points to the large lot at Front and Second Street next to the Stampede, the Old Town Parking Garage, and street parking along Old Town Front Street. Visit Temecula Valley says all public parking in Old Town is free.
The listing refunds in full if you cancel at least 24 hours before the start, and nothing after that. The operator may cancel for bad weather or too few travelers, and its FAQ says tours otherwise run in all weather. Bring the ID and a layer, and save the last round for Coin-Op, where the walk lets out on Old Town Front Street.
