Description

Reaching the water means navigating a network of paved and dirt paths alongside abandoned streets near the Intracoastal, accessible from behind the FIU property or through Arch Creek Park off Northeast 135th Street. Beyond a swim during high water, visitors often tie a hammock across the expanse to rest among the mangroves. The trails also provide a rare local spot for dog walking, though visitors occasionally encounter litter along the paths.
