Opened on March 23, 1985, the restaurant was founded by three friends who emigrated from San José de Gracia, a rural pueblo in the highlands of Jalisco. The offering takes its cues from the town plaza taquero tradition of their hometown, serving juicy carne asada, al pastor, and lengua tacos inspired by the booths that set up each evening across Mexico's tequila and charro heartland.
