SYMBIOPSYCHOTAXIPLASM: TAKE ONE

William Greaves directed this avant-garde verité landmark that slipped off the radar for thirty years. In it, screen tests are shot in Central Park for a possible feature while a second crew films the filming of those tests and a third films the first two against the backdrop of everyday life in the park. Built on unstable social, political, and psychological ground, the film features a Miles Davis score and an innovative structure that invites speculation from both the audience and everyone on the screen.
