Wooded trails trace rushing rapids and Civil War mill ruins before climbing rocky bluffs just outside Atlanta.
Description

Beyond the main stream path, additional trails wind through fields and forests of magnolias, wild azaleas, and hardwoods, with ranger-led hikes offered throughout the year. Water activity centers on the 215-acre George Sparks Reservoir, which draws picnickers and anglers supported by an on-site bait shop. During warmer months, the park provides rentals for kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, and fishing boats, though swimming is not allowed. An environmentally focused visitor center rounds out the site with regional history exhibits and wildlife displays.
