Swampspace
4.6 (12)gallery
An artist-run Design District gallery championing experimental visual art, performance, and unvarnished Miami culture.
Description

Founded in 2005 by native artist, curator, and master fabricator Oliver Sanchez, Swampspace earned recognition from the Knight Foundation for its lasting impact on the local cultural landscape. While journalist Brett Sokol dubbed it 'Miami’s Best Kept Art Secret,' art critic Anne Tschida famously described Sanchez as 'the most talented and prolific Miami artist you’ve never heard of.' The space pulls together enthusiasts from all walks of life, anchored by Sanchez’s ongoing presence as a maker, curator, and grassroots catalyst.
