Description

Built by Adolph Sutro, the site originally operated with multiple swimming pools before being demolished in 1964 and burned in 1966. Now preserved as a free National Park Service site within the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, the footprint sits on the shoreline north of the Cliff House. Visitors come to explore the open ruins and watch the Pacific, pairing a brisk hike along the bluffs with expansive coastal views that stand out especially around sunset.
