Description
Sessions open with land demonstrations on the sand to practice standing up on the board before heading into the water. Surf HNL outfits each lesson with surfboards, leashes, rash guards, reef shoes, and surf leggings for women. Out in the break, instructors certified in CPR and first aid accompany students directly into the water, offering patient coaching to help them time the swell. Along with wave riding, the school also runs stand-up paddleboard (SUP) lessons.
