Superdawg dates back to May 1948 at Milwaukee and Devon, where Maurie and his high school sweetheart, Flaurie, opened a small stand to work their way through college after World War II. Over time, that corner spot evolved into a drive-in run by the same family today, with meals served in custom boxes.
