🎭 One Act at McCaw Hall

Seattle Opera brings Strauss's Salome to McCaw Hall for five performances, its first Salome after a 2002 staging. Evening shows start at 7:30 PM on October 17, 23, 28 and 31, with a 2:00 PM matinee on Sunday, October 25. Brenda Rae sings the title role for the first time in her career, with Chad Shelton as Herod and Jennifer Johnson Cano as Herodias, and Benjamin Manis conducts.

Bruno Ravella's production first played at Irish National Opera in 2024. It is sung in German with English subtitles and runs about 1 hour 45 minutes. Doors open two hours before curtain, and regulars praise the hall's acoustics and balcony sightlines.
