Stivers Lagoon Nature Area
4.4 (29)park
A quiet urban marsh tucked into Fremont, with wide creekside trails ideal for spotting local wildlife.
Description

Preserving one of the last riparian habitats of its kind in the area, the marsh balances casual walks with wetland education. Visitors can take self-guided routes backed by online guides to local flora, fauna, and history, or search out the geocaches scattered through the park. An adjacent creek keeps the corridor green despite being close to a major road, though some visitors flag visible maintenance lapses. Run with the City of Fremont and MS Nucleus, the site also hosts two-hour educational field trips complete with scavenger hunts exploring marsh food chains and creeks.
