Steve Sanders Reads a Branson Room Two Nights a Week
A 90-minute mentalism show in a small Branson theater, built around volunteers called up from the seats.
Steve Sanders performs as THE Mind Spy, and his Branson show is mentalism from start to finish: names, choices and small personal details drawn out of people in the audience.
A traveler who went in September 2026 put it plainly, calling it "not a magic show but more a mind reading show."
The show runs on Friday and Saturday nights inside the Little Opry Theatre, a small room in the Branson IMAX Entertainment Complex.

Viator sells one kind of seat for this show: the 8:00 PM performance on a Friday or Saturday. As of October 13, 2026, an adult seat is USD 48 and a seat for a child 12 or under is USD 12. Infants sit on an adult's lap, and an adult has to make the booking.
Bring the booking to the box office at the Branson IMAX Entertainment Complex, where it is exchanged for your entry ticket. Cancel at least 24 hours ahead for a full refund; inside 24 hours there is no refund. Active and retired service members get a free gift with the booking.

Most of the show happens with an audience member beside him or answering from a seat. Travelers describe him pulling in a steady stream of volunteers, and children are part of it: an 11-year-old daughter in July 2026 and a 13-year-old at a Thanksgiving show in 2025 were both picked.
Sitting high up does not keep you out of it. A traveler in the top section in October 2025 heard her first and middle name, and the name of her childhood dog, read back to her. Some bits carry a little nerve. A July 2026 volunteer described a one-in-four pick in which only one staple gun was loaded.
He Says He Isn't Psychic

Travelers say he tells the audience he is not psychic. One described him as "forthcoming about not having any supernatural abilities aside from exquisite observational intelligence." His own books point the same way. Next to a short history of mentalism and a beginner's guide, he has published Beginning Body Language: An Essential Guide.
His biography supplies the backstory. It says the interest started at age seven, when Chuck Jones, a magician with a Los Angeles television show, performed at his school and invited him on stage to help with the linking rings. It also says he spent part of his career in the visual effects departments of Hollywood features before coming back to live audiences.
A Small Room on Friday and Saturday Nights
The Little Opry Theatre sits inside the Branson IMAX Entertainment Complex at 3562 Shepherd of the Hills Expressway, and the venue lists The Mind Spy on Friday and Saturday evenings at 8:00 PM. The listing promises that every guest is close to the action, and travelers keep using the word intimate.
The size cuts both ways. A traveler who gave it three stars in November 2025 called it a very small venue and the show "ok but not a must do," while noting it suits anyone who wants an intimate show and enjoys interaction with the host. As of October 13, 2026, the booking calendar shows performances through December 12 and none again until mid-May.
Before You Book
Children are welcome, with their own price band up to age 12, and the venue describes the performance as family-friendly.
The listing ticks wheelchair accessible. Neither the performer's site nor the venue's show page describes step-free access or seating, so put any access need in the special requirements field when you book. The booking includes a free gift for active and retired service members, and a December 2025 traveler mentioned the special notice he gives veterans in the room.
Give yourself time to stop at the box office in the Branson IMAX Entertainment Complex before the 8:00 PM start. Then take your seat, keep a name or two in mind, and see how much of it comes back to you from the stage.
