Description

Part of the Willamette watershed, the grounds preserve an open stretch of water in an otherwise urbanized corridor. Stephens Creek bisects the park from northwest to southeast with an average depth of 6.5 inches, framed by sections above and below the site that run through culverts. The space also contains the confluence of Custer and Stephens creeks, with Custer Creek emerging from a culvert east of SW Capital Hill Road and SW 17th Avenue to sustain a neighborhood enclave for native plants.
