Organic rooftop produce and live cabaret share the bill at Lorenzo's Restaurant, Bar and Cabaret, a Staten Island dinner and cabaret room inside the Hilton at 1100 South Avenue. The kitchen works with Italian American plates, and piano music adds another strand to the evening. Lois and Richard Nicotra are the co-owners.
The dining room keeps a leisurely fine dining pace, with staff spacing out courses to let the meal unfold. Classic and modern plates run from breakfast through dinner, and the Limoncello salad is one named dish guests single out. A lavish Sunday brunch anchors the weekend, and weekdays bring a regular happy hour.
The early start is the surprise. Doors open at 6 AM Monday through Friday, closing at 9 PM Monday to Thursday and 10 PM on Friday. Saturday runs from 8 AM to 10 PM, and Sunday from 8 AM to 8 PM.
