St. Augustine's Ghosts and Pirate Raids, From an Open-Air Cart
A one-hour guided ghost tour for up to seven riders, leaving from Heritage Walk on St. George Street and running from the historic north side to the narrow streets of the south end.
GhoSt Augustine runs this one-hour tour in an open-air electric cart it calls the Goth Cart, with the guide driving and telling the stories as you go. The listing has it cruising the north side of the historic downtown and going deep into the narrow streets of the south end, with hauntings, a true-crime murder and the pirate attacks the town lived through. It calls every story true and researched.
A rider in May 2026 recommended it to anyone with limited mobility: you hear the hauntings without leaving the vehicle. Another rider says the guide let the group out at a few spots to take photos and see if anything unusual showed up.

On the listing, adults 15 and older pay USD 45 and children 6 to 14 pay USD 39, and every booking needs an adult. No one under 6 rides; the operator cites safety and the law.

Riders describe the hour as a mix of St. Augustine history and ghost tales, and they split on whether that is a plus. A rider who investigates the paranormal liked the real history without theatrics; a two-star review from January 2026 said it is not a spooky ghost tour. Two riders mention a large share of the talk going to Flagler College, the former Ponce de León Hotel, and one wished for less of it. Another rider was glad to be shown what they called the oldest street in North America.
Guides also stop a few times to show photos from earlier tours on a phone. Some riders loved the shapes in them; two in early 2026 wanted fewer phone stops.
Find Beerhammer's Inside Heritage Walk

The cart leaves from Beerhammer's, a beer gear store at 162 St. George Street, Suite 19, inside the Heritage Walk mall, unless your confirmation says otherwise. The operator says the mall entrance is by the Cathedral on St. George Street and asks you to check in at least 15 minutes before departure. Its FAQ also lists a second address, 123 St. George Street, but this listing sends you to 162, and the operator's contact page names Beerhammer's as the departure point. A rider in January 2026 said the navigation app ended at a nearby parking lot and shop owners had to point the way. Aim for the Cathedral, then the mall entrance beside it.
The Back Bench Faces the Way You Came
The cart takes seven guests at most, per the listing and the operator's own booking page. One rider counted five seats facing forward and two facing back. In May 2026, two members of one party rode on that rear bench and said they heard almost none of the commentary. The owner replied that the cart has built-in speakers, that someone talking over the guide was the problem, and that riders should wear the seat belt the guide asks for. If anyone in your group hears poorly, a forward seat is the one to ask for.
Rain or Shine, and No Filming the Stories
The cart runs rain or shine. The operator cancels only for official tornado warnings or hurricane-force wind warnings, and in lightning or heavy rain the guide finds shelter and the tour waits it out. The cart has a roof and open sides; one rider in April 2026 rode through a downpour. Dress for the weather. Photos are welcome, but the operator does not allow filming while the guide is telling the stories. Anyone who arrives intoxicated is turned away without a refund.
Cancel at least 24 hours before departure for a full refund. The listing stops taking bookings two hours before each start, and the ticket works on a phone. As of October 23, 2026, both the listing and the operator's own calendar ran nightly into mid-November and showed no December dates; the operator's site advertises a separate Nights of Lights ride from November through January.
One rider's advice: pick a departure after dark for the atmosphere.
