Description

Established in 1978, the grounds serve as both a community sanctuary and an active outdoor classroom for South Seattle College’s Landscape Horticulture Program. Maintained without pesticides, the site is designated an American Conifer Society Reference Garden and includes the specialized Coenosium Rock Garden alongside plantings keyed to professional horticulturist exams. Beyond the plant beds, sightlines open across downtown Seattle and the West Duwamish Greenbelt.
