Spanish Flowers
4.2 (2,929)restaurant
A family-run Houston staple since 1979, serving home-style Mexican comfort food, hot tortillas, and Sunday menudo.
Description

Mary L. Bernal launched Spanish Flowers to bring the flavors of her Guadalajara summers to Houston, expanding from a single neighborhood dining room into a multi-location family kitchen. In 2009, the Hernandez family joined Bernal to maintain the traditional recipes and familiar hospitality. The dining rooms remain a steady fixture for bilingual families, first responders, and late-night visitors stopping in for continuous rounds of salsa and drinks, earning the long-standing restaurant its own official day proclaimed by the city.
