Northern Thai cooking with a bar program on East 1st Street, a short walk from the subway.
🌶️ Spice Takes The Lead
MayRee brings refined Southern Thai cooking to 58 East 1st Street in the East Village neighborhood of Manhattan. The kitchen gives traditional Southern Thai flavors a modern touch, with spice and salt at the center of its approach. The menu spans raw marinated shrimp, Massaman curry with roti, and a take on Pad Thai that arrives wrapped in egg.
The Michelin recommended restaurant balances a simple, unpretentious feel with an artistic, romantic interior. The interior has exposed brick and beautiful lighting, and the warm room is filled with plants. Cocktails are part of the offering alongside the food.
MayRee opens Monday through Thursday from noon to 4 PM and 5 PM to 10 PM, Friday from noon to 4 PM and 5 PM to half past ten PM, Saturday from noon to half past ten PM, and Sunday from noon to 10 PM.
