Founder Jenny Levison opened the cafe in 1999 and still crafts recipes daily, backed by an energetic crew known to greet customers with singing, smiles, or even interpretive dance moves.

The board adjusts around the calendar. Spring and summer lean into chilled soups and lighter fare, while fall and winter bring a steady daily lineup of six hot soups, three sandwiches, and four salads. The kitchen regularly accommodates varied diets as well, keeping plenty of gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options on hand for dining in or takeaway.
