Soccer Screenings Meet Live Band Karaoke in This East Village Dive

Play pinball among sci fi murals at Area 140 First Bar, with a permanent bed of nails display in the mix.

Make Thursday a karaoke night.

🎤 Thursday Takes the Mic

Thursday nights at Area 140 First Bar belong to live band karaoke. Take a turn at the mic, or make this a soccer night with Ipswich Town supporters who gather for match screenings. The East Village dive also has pinball and bar trivia, giving a group a few ways to spend an evening without leaving the room.

The drinks stay straightforward, with call brand well drinks and pints of Guinness. Happy hour runs daily until 8 PM. Local art includes a permanent bed of nails display, alongside murals with a sci fi streak. Sam Diaz created the work on the back wall, and Outersource painted the right wall. Mike Durgavich, also known as Durgy, runs the bar, creates its playlists, and hosts karaoke.

Head to 140 First Avenue for a place that is open daily until 4 AM, with doors opening at 4 PM every afternoon.
