Rising over Smithfield, this former industrial stack—also known as the Chimney Viewing Tower—demands a bit of exertion. The ascent is a windowless, enclosed climb up 257 steps, requiring steady footing and decent stamina. At the top, you are rewarded with views stretching across the city to the surrounding area. Though the lookout window glass can sometimes be dirty, it remains an excellent spot to watch the transition from sunset to Dublin's night lights.
