Description

Dedicated in October 2016 on the site of the 1893 Phoenix Pavilion, the installation marks Ono's first permanent public project in the Americas. Each petal reaches 12 feet high, encircling a large grass mound that doubles as natural seating. Conceived as a memorial and invitation to imagine reconciliation and renewal, the work sits among walking routes that trace the lagoon.
